Real Life Gospel Test

Pastor Takes In Convict

How does watching this news clip make you feel?

Either the gospel of Jesus Christ crucified for sinners who really are wretched is glorious. Or it's not. Period.

What would the apostle Paul say?
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (emphasis added)
Verse 11 is for ex-con murderers as much as it's for me and you. If not, then why did Jesus have to die? I mean, what else would He possibly have come for other than to receive the scorn that Raymond Guay is now receiving and to wash him with His precious blood so that he would be white as snow?

That's the gospel.

Because of this gospel, and only this gospel, murderers really do change.

Otherwise this is all a big fairy tale and I quit.
